AB de Villiers went berserk and played a quickfire innings in the 44th game of the Indian Premier League against Gujarat Lions at Bengaluru on Saturday. His innings was a display of pure class and improvisation, he took on the GL bowling attack from the outset and provided impetus to RCB’s bowling attack. He went on to score the fastest century of this season as he achieved the feat in43 deliveries. RCB got off to a shaky and slow start as Chris Gayle was dismissed early on in the innings and the run-rate was under six. De Villiers walked out in the middle and is playing a match winning innings. He scored runs all over the ground with some mighty blows which travelled out of the park. He dispatched some good deliveries for a boundary with his guile and improvisation.
