An MBA graduate from the small city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh (MP), Palash Kochar has joined the league of Jim Laker and Anil Kumble after bagging all ten wickets in an innings for a local league game in Hoshangabad on Saturday, a Hindustan Times report stated. The leg-spinner, who bowled 28.1 overs in the innings, conceded 53 runs and scalped all ten batsmen in the process.
He was playing for the Ujjain division side in the Maharaja Yeshwantrao Memorial Senior Division Cricket Tournament against the Naramdapuram division side. The mode of dismissals included five catch-outs, two lbws, two clean bowled and one caught and bold. Despite the heroic spell, Kochar could not help his team make it to the quarter finals, as the opponents reached to the knockout stage thanks to their first innings lead.

Undeterred by the setback, Kochar has set his sights on the broader objective, which is to make it to the MP state Ranji team and eventually to the Indian team. “I hope to make it to the MP Ranji team and be part of Team India just like Anil Kumble,” Kochar told Hindustan Times after the match. An MBA in marketing from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore, Kochar has been playing the sport since the age of four and has represented MP at the under-19 and under-23 levels.
