The ongoing first Test between New Zealand and Australia at Wellington witnessed some dramatic moments as the game progressed. It is also the final series of New Zealand legend Brendon McCullum as he will be bidding farewell to international cricket after the conclusion of this series.
Batting first, New Zealand were bowled out for a mere score of 183 in the first innings to which they made a strong comeback by chipping early wickets. But what grabbed the headlines was the fourth delivery of the final over by Doug Bracewell. The latter bowled a beautiful in-swinging delivery to Adam Voges which ripped through his defuses and shattered the stumps. But Bracewell was denied a crucial wicket as the ball was adjudged as a no ball.
The TV replay showed that Bracewell clearly had some part of his foot behind the line but the umpires thought the other way. In the end, Voges got a reprieve and New Zealand were robbed from a crucial wicket at that point of the game. Australia at stumps were 147 for the los of three wickets. Twitter world reacted to this blunder and we present you with some pick of the tweets.

I’m serious – umpire called no-ball because he only saw the white part of Bracewell’s shoe. Wear all-white shoes, get the wicket — Ben Pobjie (@benpobjie) February 12, 2016
Bracewell to Voges was a square-up for Vettori’s no-ball to Warne on 99! #NZvAUS

Even Mitch Johnson thinks Bracewell should have been able to review that no ball https://t.co/XSJ9FEkurV — Ben Irwin (@BenGIrwin) February 12, 2016
Very hard lines for Bracewell. Dropped catch and incorrect no-ball wicket. #NZvAUS

Bracewell unlucky. It wasn’t a no ball. Richard Illingworth must have an eye check up — ICC World T20 2016 (@msdhoni91) February 12, 2016
The frustrations of the inconsistencies in cricket. Third umpire should be able to overturn that no-ball call on Bracewell ball to Voges.
