The fastest person ever timed, Usain Bolt is back to grabbing headlines. While he is spinning heads at Rio now, the 29-year-old Jamaican’s love for cricket is well known. While growing up, Bolt was a fan of Waqar Younis, Sachin Tendulkar and his fellow countryman Chris Gayle. He made news when he once bowled Gayle and hit Yuvraj Singh for a six.

He has even considered cricket seriously and post retirement has kept his options open. A natural talent with the football, the Manchester United fan is also confident that he could make it big in football too.

However, as a young kid, Bolt was a Pakistan fan and idolised Waqar Younis. He had once famously said, “The person I looked up to was Waqar Younis because he had a great in-swinging yorker. He was wonderful. Pakistan was my team when I was six when I started watching cricket. I enjoyed watching them play.” ALSO READ: Waqar Younis: 22 interesting facts about the Pakistani pace legend

A proud moment for Waqar, who has a fan in the greatest-ever sprinter. Though his home side West Indies have struggled against India, Bolt will surely be happy with the way Pakistan fared in England.
