After the toss, Zaheer Khan-led DD invited Suresh Raina-led GL to bat first and McCullum gave an explosive along with his opening partner Dwayne Smith. Together, they completed their team’s fifty in just 3.5 overs, which is the fastest in this season of IPL. Both the openers laid the foundation of huge total for GL with their 112 run partnership. In between, fans and viewers got to see a new shot by McCullum, which is now called as ‘Reverse Flick’. The shot was played on the fifth ball of the ninth over of the match, bowled by leggie Imran Tahir. The moment he played that shot, fans and spectators loved it.
