It is a celebration time in the Gujarat Lions (GL) camp. Not only are they sitting comfortably at the top of the IPL 9 points table but also one of their star players and Rajkot’s own Ravindra Jadeja is all set to tie the nuptial knot on Sunday.
Ahead of his wedding with Rajkot-based mechanical engineer Reeva Solanki, Jadeja, who takes pride in his Rajput lineage, displayed his sword wielding skills in front of guests. The 27-year all-rounder missed Saturday’s IPL match against Mumbai Indians (MI) for his marriage.

The all-rounder got engaged in February at his restaurant Jaddu’s Food Field, he had then said, ” In the game of cricket luck plays an important role and when I am getting engaged to Reeva, I hope that lady luck will help me to do better in both cricketing life and personal life.”
Missing his mom
Jadeja’s sisters, Nainaba and Padminiba performed several rituals for the wedding. Padminiba told mid-day, “I’m so happy that Ravindra has finally found some time from his busy schedule and is getting married. This is a big event and it means so much for all of us. We have left no stone unturned to ensure Ravindra’s wedding is grand and memorable. We all are missing our late mother (Lata) on this occasion.”
