Last week, Martin Guptill replaced Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Lendl Simmons because of his injury and now there is another inclusion of a new player in the ninth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). This time, it’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side, who replaced the injured Samuel Badree. West Indies’ most successful bowler in the ICC World T20 2016 — Badree was expected to make a huge difference for RCB but the injury he sustained in the World T20 ruled him out of the tournament
Badree’s place will be taken by a South African chinaman bowler — Tabraiz Shamsi. Shamsi has been performed pretty decent in Twenty20. So far, he has played 44 T20s, picked 45 wickets at 23.64 and has a good economy rate of 7.03. In the below video, posted by RCB’s official channel on Youtube, Shamsi can be seen with coach Allan Donald, who is introducing him to RCB supporters. According to Donald, he has done quite well in T20s in last couple of years and he is the man to look out for in RCB’s dug out.
RCB will play their fourth match of the tournament against the MS Dhoni-led Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS). They have lost two and won one so far. Let’s see whether this mystery spinner will be the part of playing 11 in today’s game or not.
