It has been a well-deserved break for India’s limited-overs skipper MS Dhoni. The year had been taxing and quite fruitful too. India had a good run in Twenty20 (T20) games they played this year and for a while, they even enjoyed some time at the No. 1 position in the ICC Rankings. The long season of the traditional format for Team India means a longer break for Dhoni, who has retired from Test cricket.
He spent sessions mentoring the Test side, vacationing at Varanasi, winning football matches and also spending time with his daughter Ziva, on whom he once joked that she might have forgotten him thanks to India’s gruelling cricket schedule. Just before that, she posted a video where Ziva and her dad are seen ‘monkeying’ around. Thankfully, there is no Andrew Symonds or Harbhajan Singh involved and Sakshi will not be summoned to Mike Procter’s room for calling these two adorable parts of her life, ‘monkeys’
