Two cricket legends, 28 big names from the cricket world and one great cricket initiative. In September, the International Cricket Council (ICC) gave its thumbs up to Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar’s proposed Twenty20 all-stars league. The stage is now set and the tournament will be played in the month of November in the iconic baseball venues in United States.
Warne’s Warriors will take on Tendulkar’s Blasters in three Twenty20 (T20) games at Citi Field in New York City, Minute Maid Park in Houston and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles in between November 4 to 14. Cricket may not be a big sport in United States but it has a sizable expat population, especially from the south Asia, who follow the sport religiously.
