Video: When spidercam denied Virat Kohli a boundary

A Spider cam has been a sensational invention in the sporting world; it allows the viewers to take a glimpse of different angles. It’s a fantastic innovation where the small cam keeps on touring the whole ground busy capturing wider angles and scenes.

But many a times, these objects have interrupted the game of play and created a stir. In the ongoing fifth and the final One-Day International (ODI) between Australia and India, Virat Kohli found himself on the other side of the luck as a boundary was denied to him when he cut the ball stariaght towards third man but struck the Spider cam.

John Hastings bowled a beautiful short delivery to Kohli in reply to which the latter played an elegant cut which went straight towards the Spider cam and after hitting it dragged on to the boundary. The umpire called it a dead ball as a result of which the boundary was not counted. Australians were rejoiced with this decision and the game resumed but the instance drew many eyeballs.

Kohli failed in this innings as he was dismissed for eight but India are well placed in the run chase at the moment as they now need another 158 runs from 23 overs.
