India came out hard and won the first One-day International (ODI) of the three-match series against Zimbabwe on Saturday at Harare. The young and potent team led by MS Dhoni won the encounter by nine wickets while chasing a modest total of 168 in 50 overs. On this occasion, India’s Test skipper Virat Kohli who has been rested for this tour took to his Twitter handle to convey his wishes and also applauded KL Rahul and Ambati Rayudu’s magnificent outing. Rahul played with immense confidence and smashed a scintillating century to grab the golden opportunity with both the hands whereas Rayudu played a dogged innings as the duo anchored the run chase. Rahul also scripted history by becoming the first Indian cricketer to score a century on ODI debut. It’s heart-wrenching to see a senior cricketer backing the juniors and bolstering their confidence for every fan. Rahul and Yzvendra Chahal also tweteed:
