A century in any format of the game is a landmark every batsman looks up to; it demands enormous patience and the ability to take on the opposition. Most of the batsmen tend to get nervous at the crease as soon as they breach the 90 runs mark and cruising towards their century. With every single run the pressure on the batsman keeps on piling. And the anxiety level is at the apex when a batsman is four or five runs short.

Another legend VVS Laxman, who was commentating on this game spoke about how Sehwag used to get out of this dilemma and expressed his thought on how to conquer such situation by saying, “Everyone is nervous on 90s. The best way is [Virender] Sehwag’s. Six to bring up a hundred.”

Rohit smashed 124 as India managed a total of 308 runs in their 50 overs but ultimately didn’t prove out to be sufficient enough to restrict the hosts. Australia won the contest by seven wickets and are now leading the series by 2-0.
