Chile will kick-off their FIFA World Cup 2014 campaign against Australia in the fourth match of the quadrennial football event. This is a Group B match in Arena Pantanal Cuiaba. The two sides have played against each other four times, with Chile having won three of those encounters.
Australia have only managed to score one goal in the four matches between the two sides so far, while Chile have managed to score six. On the basis of past encounters, it would seem that Chile have the clear upper hand. Australia could spring a surprise, though, and Chile will have to guard against complacency.
