France and Germany will begin the quarter-final rounds of the FIFA World Cup 2014 on July 4. The two European giants will face-off at the iconic Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana Stadium. France beat Nigeria 2-0 in the FIFA World Cup 2014 Round of 16 match. Germany edged out Algeria 2-1 after extra time in a thriller of a contest.

 

Both France and Germany topped their respective groups to qualify for the knock-out stages in the FIFA World Cup 2014. Both teams have World Cup pedigree and the match is much-anticipated. While Germany have been considered as one of the pre-tournament favourites, France are regarded as the dark horses.
