The French press hailed their football team’s remarkable show in the 5-2 win over Switzerland in the FIFA World Cup 2014 on Friday. France embraced their second victory after beating Honduras 3-0 in the opener. The French press praised their performance, reports Xinhua.

L’Equipe described the match as a “magical display” and the French team’s triumph as “breathtaking”. The explosive encounter buried all the bad memories of some previous World Cups. Le Figaro said that France played in a way that is so rarely seen. Le Parisien claimed that France had opened up new horizons. “After this performance, there is nothing we can’t dream of,” it said.
