Teresopolis (Brazil): Jul 2, 2014
Brazil’s midfielder Ramires said the five-time FIFA World Cup winners need to be wary of Colombia’s key man James Rodriguez during their FIFA World Cup 2014 quarter-final face-off in Fortaleza on Friday.
“I have never played against him before, but I had seen him since he was in Porto, I watch the Portuguese channels and I had seen him play. He is having an excellent World Cup. We’ll have to give him special attention so he doesn’t surprise us,” said the Chelsea midfielder, reports EFE.
Brazil’s substitute goalkeeper Victor also hailed Rodriguez, describing him as a “different” player.
Victor also praised his Colombian counterpart David Ospina, but rejected to list him in his personal list of the best goalkeepers in the FIFA World Cup 2014, which included his fellow Brazilian Julio Cesar, Mexican Guillermo Ochoa and Nigerian Vincent Enyeama.
