TOSS: Australia have won the toss and opted to bowl first

Bangladesh have been dealt a major setback in form of suspensions to Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny over suspect actions. While people have shown understanding of the call to suspend Sunny based on pictures of his action which show his action to be a little dodgy, most have been befuddled by Taskin’s ban as his action has come across as rather clean.

TRENDING NOW

Bangladesh’s hopes will be pinned on Shakib Al Hasan, who was one of the rare bright spots in Bangladesh’s defeat against Pakistan. But Bangladesh will need more players to contribute. Australia will want players of the calibre of Usman Khawaja, Shane Watson and Mitchell Marsh to fire them to a big win in a bid to do their NRR some good. A defeat for either side would significantly diminish either side’s chances to get past to the semi-final stage. One can expect both teams to put their best foot forward in this contest.
