TOSS: Comilla Victorians have won the toss and they have decided to field first in this clash against the Chittagong Vikings.

Mohammad Aamer was the star of the game for the Chittagong Vikings in their match against the Sylhet Super Stars, which started off late on Monday afternoon following a controversy. The NOCs (No Objection Certificates) were not in place for Sylhet Super Stars’ cricketers Joshua Cobb and Ravi Bopara, and they arrived just in time for the match. Their late inclusion irked Chittagong Vikings’ captain Tamim Iqbal, who was involved in heated discussion with the officials.

When the game started, Chittagong batted first and put up a massive total of 180 for five, thanks to half-centuries by Tamim and Yasir Ali. In their reply, the Sylhet Super Stars could reach 179 for six in their allotted 20 overs, with Mushfiqur Rahim scoring 50 and Dilshan Munaweera smashing a 22-ball half-century. Munaweera scored 69 off 45 balls with the help of six boundaries and four sixes.

This will be the first game in the tournament for the Comilla Victorians. The team will be captained by Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza, and has the likes of Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Krishmar Santokie, Ahmed Shehzad, Imrul Kayes, Alok Kapali, Liton Das as wicketkeeper, Nuwan Kulasekara, Shuvagata Hom and a few more.
