(The Indians take on a talented Cricket Australia XI at Adelaide. Catch Live cricket scores and live update of the match here)

The play has been called off 15 overs early and the match has ended in a draw.

Karn Sharma has come up with his half-century now. He has been aggressive so far in his approach. A total of five boundaries and two sixes hit by him.
The second session of the day has also ended. Virat Kohli and Wriddhiman Saha got to their half-centuries in this session. Raina too played well but he was dismissed just six runs short of his half-century. Karn Sharma has played aggressively so far. Matthew Short has been hit by most runs by the Indian batsmen.  Short has conceded 60 runs in his 10 overs but also has two wickets to his name. India now lead by 110 runs in this two day tour match at Adelaide.
OUT!!!!! R Ashwin c & b Short 6 (24)
Virat Kohli is dismissed after scoring a half-century. Ravichandran Ashwin now joins Saha. Indians have now built there lead by over 50 runs.
OUT!!!V Kohli c Grimwade b Short 60(114)
Saha hits Matthew Short for a six on the first ball of the 68th over. He has reached quicky to his 19 off just 22 balls.
Suresh Raina is dismissed here. He was really quick to add runs and he is unclucky to have missed on a half-century here.
OUT!!!Suresh Raina c Carters b Pattison 44 (49)
Suresh Raina slams Sam Grimwade for 14 runs in an over. Two boundaries of the first two balls and one six from the last ball. Raina has done bulk of the scoring in after he has come to bat.
Only six runs coming in the last five overs. Suresh Raina is taking his time on the wicket as he has only got five runs off 18 balls he has faced so far.

All too familiar scene here. Rohit Sharma plays a beautiful little innings, and just when he seems set for big things he is out. This time he departs LBW to Josh Lalor for a well-made 23. Kohli is still out there batting on 36.
OUT! R Sharma 23(46) LBW b Lalor

Oh dear, after seeing such a terrific batting display all morning, Ajinkya Rahane has been dismissed cheaply. Rohit Sharma is the new man in. And he is looking good, starts off well and hits a couple of boundaries.
OUT! A Rahane 1(4) c Carters b Grimwade

So both batsmen go past their fifties, and promptly walk back to the pavilion to let others bat. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane are in the middle. Kohli, of course, hits a couple of boundaries early on to show he means business.
RETIRED! M Vijay (51) 81, C Pujara 55(81)

Lalor and Gregory continue to be dispatched by the pair, as Murali Vijay gets to his half-century with consecutive boundaries off Gregory. Pujara is closing in on his fifty as well. Moody comes into the attack now. These are good signs for India.

Pujara is smacking boundaries almost at will! He looks in red-hot form at the moment. Vijay isn’t far behind either, as both batsmen’s strike rates are over 60. Lalor and Conway being treated with disdain here. Gregory comes into the attack. And Vijay greets him with four more!

Lalor and Conway open the bowling on Day Two. Pujara on strike. One run off the first over. Conway gets hit for a boundary by Pujara! And now Lalor gets hit for four more by Pujara, he is looking good today.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog of Day Two of the first tour game between Indians and Cricket Australia (CA) XI at Adelaide. On Day One, CA XI were bundled out for a modest 219 after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Opener Matthew Short was dismissed off the first ball he faced from Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Opener Ryan Carter finished as the highest scorer for CA XI as he scored a half-century, but was later dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin. The middle-order failed to provide any resistance as wickets fell quickly. Varun Aaron was the most successful bowler for the Indians as he picked three wickets, while Karn Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvnweshwar ended with the two wickets each.

In reply, the Indians lost Shikhar Dhawan, dismissed by Josh Lalor, early in the innings for 10. Thereafter, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara carried batted well, and remained unbeaten at Stumps. Vijay looked good as he scored a well-crafted 32 off 50 deliveries, while Pujara was resolute on 13 off 26 balls. Both men will be eager to make the most of the second day.

Virat Kohli is leading the side, and will be keen to establish dominance on proceedings by scoring some big runs. Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, and Ajinkya Rahane will all be looking forward to a long day of batting as at least two of the three will get a chance in the middle order of the first Test at Brisbane from December 4.
