The Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) have tremendous firepower in their ranks, but somehow, they have failed to put it all together and produce consistent shows. They came agonisingly close to their win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), but some poor bowling resulted in a narrow defeat.
Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) suffered a hug blow a few days ago when their star batsman Kevin Pietersen was ruled out of IPL 9 due to a calf injury. Pietersen’s injury has resulted in the call-up to Usman Khawaja, who has been in terrific form in the past few months. It will be interesting to see how Khawaja will fare in his first-ever IPL season.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been blowing hot and cold but their performances have signalled a much-better show in this IPL. David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan have been among runs, and in the bowling department, they have perhaps the best bowler in the tournament in Mustafizur Rahman.
