South Africa limited-overs cricket captain AB de Villiers praised his bowlers for their contribution in South Africa s seven wicket victory over England at Durham on Saturaday.

“The guys, especially the bowlers, had clear plans and the way they came out made my job easier,” de Villiers was quoted as saying by the official website of ICC.

Jacques Kallis and JP Duminy shared an unbeaten stand of 90 runs for the fourth wicket to take South Africa home.

Dale Steyn was named Man of the Match for his figures of 4-0-13-1 with the ball. Spinners Robin Peterson and Johan Botha too picked up two wickets each.

“The wicket was pretty slow, a little bit in it, but we were able to use the short ball with the long boundaries. It paid off today. Straight away I got a feeling as to where I should bowl,” Dale Steyn said after the match.
