During the second ODI between Australia and Pakistan being played at Adelaide, Mohammad Rizwan had a hilarious interaction with Adam Zampa. Zampa made an attempt to hit a bouncer from Naseem Shah during the 34th over, which is when this happened.

After safely securing the ball Rizwan made an appeal for the wicket, but was turned down by the on-field umpire. Rather than going and talking with the bowler, Rizwan questioned Zampa if he should go for a review or not, because he assumed that the ball had some contact with the bat. They later-on went to ask for a review from the third umpire.

As Rizwan had caught the ball, he asked Adam if the ball had hit his bat and if he should go for an appeal, which Adam also agreed to. Zampa was also caught on the stump mic saying that he is appealing for everything.

The third umpire kept the on-field call since the review clarified that the ball had not made contact with Zampa’s bat when it went to Rizwan’s gloves.

Even though he made a bad decision and burnt a review, Rizwan has been nearly flawless when playing behind the stumps. He has claimed up to six catches, which has led him to match the Pakistan records for the most catches by a wicketkeeper in an ODI innings.
