Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder face off in the first semi-final of the ongoing Big Bash League 2015-16 at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday. Adelaide are favourites ahead of the start of play due to them winning seven out of their eight group games. Sydney Thunder, on the other hand, have won four games in the group stage and lost as many, though they managed to seal their place in the semi-final thanks to their 46-run win over Sydney Sixers in their final group game at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Thunder skipper Michael Hussey, who is the second-highest run-getter in the ongoing tournament so far with 277 runs to his credit, will be a happy leader for guiding his side into the last four after having finished second-last in last year’s tournament.
