Wicketkeeper Adnan Akmal is unlikely to play the remaining third and final Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan after he injured his left ring finger on at Pallekele.

 

While playing fast bowler Dilhara Fernando’s short pitched delivery, Akmal was hit on finger. He left the field but returned after the fall of sixth wicket. He was eventually bowled out at 24 by Rangana Herath.

 

An X-ray report shows Akmal has a hairline fracture and is unlikely to continue playing on Monday, NDTV Sports reported.

Pakistan are trailing 1-0 in the series and Akmal’s absence will cost the host.
