Afghanistan have appointed former coach of Canada Andy Pick as their now bowling coach. Pick has been appointed to prepare the team ahead of the ICC World Cup 2015. Pick is a left-armed fast bowler, who had a stint with the Canadian team as well. Pick will join the team ahead of their tour to United Arab Emirates (UAE), where they will play Scotland and Ireland.

Afghanistan will face Scotland in the first preparatory match on January 8, in Dubai. The second match will be played against Ireland on January 10, third match against Scotland on January 14 and fourth match will be played on January 17 against Ireland, reports Khaama Press. Afghanistan will make its maiden appearance at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, which will be held between 14 February and 29 March.

Afghanistan lost the four One-Day International (ODI) series 1-3 to UAE in December 2014. Afghanistan will be making their debut in the ICC World Cup 2015 and will look to cause a few upsets during their stay in the tournament. Paul Collingwood was recently appointed one of the coaches of Scotland and will be a part of the team leading Scotland to the ICC world Cup 2015.

ICC World Cup 2015 starts from February 14-March 29 and is co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. India won the earlier edition of the mega event at home in 2011.
