<a href="https://www.cricketcountry.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mohammad-shahzad.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-730166" alt="mohammad-shahzad" src="https://www.cricketcountry.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mohammad-shahzad.jpg" width="628" height="355" /></a> <p></p> <p></p>The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has banned their wicketkeeper-batsman <a href="https://www.cricketcountry.com/players/mohammad-shahzad/">Mohammad Shahzad</a> for an ODI and also fined him 50 percent of match fee for breaching code of conduct. <p></p> <p></p>Shahazad, was found guilty of public disrespect of on-field umpires during the final of a domestic one-day competition following which the punishment was announced. <p></p> <p></p>As per the official website of the ACB, Shahzad criticised the decisions of the on-field umpires during a post match presentation cemromeny after his team Speenghar's defeat to Bost in the final of Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day Tournament on Friday. <p></p> <p></p>"Shahzad was found guilty for public disrespect of on-field umpires following Speenghar s loss against Bost in the Final of Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day Tournament. Speaking in the post-match presentation ceremony which was broadcasted live, Shahzad criticized on-field umpires for their decisions in the Final of the recently concluded List A tournament," ACB said on its official website. <p></p> <p></p>Afghanistan are due to tour Ireland in August for three-T20I and three-ODI series. The ban means Shahzad will miss the ODI series opener scheduled for August 27. Shahzad will have to forego 50 percent of his match fee when he next plays for Afghanistan at international level which happens to be the first T20I vs Ireland on August 20. <p></p> <p></p>The 30-year-old big-hitting batsman had in December 2017 received a retrospective ban of one year after being found guilty of doping violation. He breached ICC Anti-Doping Code as he inadvertently ingested prohibited substance Clenbuterol "as a contaminant of a weight-loss product he was taking, Hydroxycut." <p></p> <p></p>Shahzad has so far represented Afghanistan in 69 ODIs, scoring 2239 runs with four centuries and 11 half-centuries and has 76 dismissals to his name (54 catches and 22 stumpings). In 63 T20Is, he has hit 1906 runs including a century and 12 fifties and has 54 dismissals (26 catches, 28 stumpings). He was also part of Afghanistan's playing XI when they made their Test debut against India in June a match they lost inside two days.
