Minnows Afghanistan take on fellow minnows Oman in the semi-final of the ongoing Desert T20 2017, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday. The live cricket streaming of the match is available on skysports.com, while the live telecast will be available on Sky Sports Network. Afghanistan put up an impressive show, as they won all the three group games, finishing with six points at the top of the table. As for Oman, they were the second best in their group, winning one out of the three games, while losing the other two, as both the teams are set for a cracker.
In the last group stage encounter of Desert Twenty20 (T20I) 2017, Scotland thrashed Oman by 7 wickets with 6 balls to spare. Having already qualified for the semi-finals, Scotland took this game seriously as they could have moved to the 2nd spot had they conceded the match by a huge margin. On the other hand, Oman go through to the next round despite this defeat due to a superior net run-rate over 3rd ranked side, Hong Kong. The four semi-finalists are as follows Afghanistan, Ireland, Scotland and Oman. Afghanistan maintained their unbeaten tag as they defeated Namibia in Match 11 of Desert T20 Challenge 2017.
