Ajinkya Rahane's father, Madhukar, was involved in a car accident near Kolhapur.

Ajinkya Rahane‘s father, Madhukar, was involved in a car accident near Kolhapur. Madhukar was travelling to Tarkarli, Konkan via Pune-Bengaluru highway. A 67-year-old woman, named Ashatai Kamble, was hit by the car. She succumbed to several injuries and was declared dead when she was taken to the nearest government hospital.

The Kagal Police station filed a case against Madhukar under sections 304 A, 289, 337 and 338. Madhukar was travelling with his wife and daughter, and were on their way for a vacation.

Ajinkya Rahane meanwhile is with Team India for the ongoing limited-overs series against Sri Lanka.
