Visitors Kings XI Punjab all-rounder Akshar Patel claimed a hat-trick, against hosts Gujarat Lions (GL), in Match 28 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Sunday. It turned out to be the first hat-trick of the IPL 2016, as he dismissed Dinesh Karthik, Dwayne BRavo and Ravindra Jadeja, in consecutive deliveries for two, zero and 11, respectively. It was also his first in competitive cricket as he joins few of the ones, who have made it to the list of hat-trick in the tournament till date. Table-toppers Gujarat Lions will look to consolidate their position when they take on laggards Kings XI Punjab in an Indian Premier League match here tomorrow.
