Left-arm spinner Akshar Patel and right-arm off-spinner Parvez Rasool have got their maiden One-Day International cap for India. The Men in Blue are set to take on Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series at Dhaka.

Akshar Patel was picked for his impressive run for Kings XI Punjab in the recently concluded Indian premier League (IPL) 2014. The left-arm spinner was a vital cog in the Punjab bowling department and also performed well with the bat.

Rasool meanwhile had to wait for a long time for his debut. He was picked for the ODI series against Zimbabwe in 2013 but didn’t get to play any match.
