Alastair Cook becomes England’s second highest run-scorer in Tests during West Indies vs England, 2nd Test at Grenada

Alastair Cook is now only behind Graham Gooch in the list of leading run-scorers.

England captain Alastair Cook surpasses Alec Stewart to become England’s second highest run-getter in Tests during Day 2 of the second Test against West Indies at Grenada. Stewart scored 8,463 runs from 133 Tests and Cook has surpassed him in his 111th Test. Alastair cook is unbeaten on 37 at stumps and will look to make a big score when comes out to bat on Day 3. Alastair Cook has 20 centuries and 46 half-centuries to his name. He was recently stripped from captaincy in One-Day Internationals (ODI) and was consequently dropped from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 squad after his form dipped to a great extent leading up to the mega event.
