Alastair Cook has scored his 27th Test century for England against New Zealand on Day Four of the first Test at Lord’s. Cook was under pressure both as a captain and player and he will be happy to answer his critics through this innings. England then lost Gary Ballance for a duck and then Ian Bell off the fourth ball of Day Four for 29. Joe Root then joined Cook and the duo have put on over 150 runs together and look set to pile on more misery on the England bowlers. Root too is nearing another Test ton.
