Ambati Rayudu to captain Hyderabad in Moin-ud-Dowlah cricket tournament

Hyderabad: Cricketer Ambati Rayudu would lead the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) XI Cricket team in the All India Coromandel Kng Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Cricket Tournament to be held from August 22 to 31. The team comprises Ambati Rayudu (c), Chama Milind, Akshath Reddy, Tanmay Agarwal, Rohith Rayudu, N Thakur Tilak Verma, B Sandeep, Ashish Reddy, Akash Bhandari, Mehdi Hasan, Md Siraj, M Ravi Kiran, K Sumanth, Md Muddasir, Saketh Sairam and Bhagath Varma, HCA said in a release here today. The HCA also announced the HCA President s XI Cricket team for the Moin-ud-Dowlah cricket tournament. The team includes Amol Shinde (c), Yatin Reddy, Shashidhar Reddy, B Rahul. Chandan Shahani, Mir Jaweed Ali, Rohit Reddy, Neeraj Bist, P Praneeth Reddy, Karthik Kak, Tanay Tyagarajan, Sudeep Tyagi, Hitesh Yadav, Omer Khan, M Radha Krishna and Vamshi Vardhan Reddy.

“Rayudu has got his NoC and is now eligible to play for Hyderabad. We are happy that he has chosen to play for Hyderabad again. He will be seen in action in the local leagues from this week and in fact will be leading India Cements,”confirmed HCA secretary T Shesh Narayan to Times of India. Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA), where Rayudu used to play previously, has given him NOC. “If somebody has made up his mind what can we do? It’s his decision, we only wish him good luck for the future. Last year, our team played without him and Wasim Jaffer and did quite decently. The sole aim to bring a player like him was to win Ranji Trophy but he had fitness problems. Anyway we have some exciting youngsters, who can fill the void. Vidarbha are a respected side at the domestic level and youngsters have shown they can take up the responsibility and challenge,” an inside source of VCA confirmed.
