Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan has praised star batsman Yuvraj Singh, calling him a “champion” after India‘s One-Day International (ODI) victory against England on Thursday. Winning the toss, England‘s skipper, Eoin Morgan, elected to bowl and had India under the scanner with the scoreboard reading 25 for 3. Nonetheless, Yuvraj Singh, who is making a comeback into the national side, stitched a match winning 256-run stand with MS Dhoni and took India’s score to 381 for 6. England gave their all in the chase but lost by 15 runs to hand over a series win to India at Cuttack.

Returning to the national fold after a three-year hiatus, the 35-year-old’s belligerent century is his first since the 2011 World Cup, where he emerged the Man-of-the-Series.
