Andre Fletcher weathered the early storm and sailed West Indian innings from choppy waters with a quick fore fifty against the Sri Lanka in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) at Pallekele. He scored the fourth fastest fifty for West Indies which came in just 22 deliveries. Chasing 216 in 20 overs, West Indies got off to a rocky start as they couple of wickets in quick succession. They needed a partnership which was rightly provided by Fletcher and Andre Russell. The pitch is conducive for batting but the batsman need to stick around and spend some time out there.  LIVE SCORECARD: Sri Lanka vs West Indies, 1st T20 at Pallekele

Fletcher played quite an important innings as his team is out of some trouble and he needs to continue. He looked comfortable right from the start and has scored runs at a brisk pace. Unfortunately for West Indies Fletcher has been dismissed for a well played 57. His innings contained three boundaries and six sixes. Dushmantha Chameera got the better of him with the change in pace and knocks the timber. Fletcher’s innings looked as if it would take the game away from the hosts but ir wasn’t to be. Live Blog: Sri Lanka vs West Indies 2015, 1st T20 at Pallekele

West Indies are in deep trouble at the moment as they have lost plenty of wickets and need a lot of runs to win. After nine overs they were 93 for the loss of four wickets and need more 123 runs from 11 overs with just six wickets to spare. They bat deep and need another cameo like Fletcher to bail them out in the first T20I at Pallekele.
