Australia took command of the second Ashes 2013-14 Test with a dominant display on Day Two at the Adelaide Oval. They lead England by a huge 535-run margin as the visitors were at 35 for one at stumps. Michael Carberry was batting on 20 and Joe Root was on nine on Friday.
Alastair Cook was the only wicket to fall for England as he was bowled by Mitchell Johnson for three. Australia declared their first innings at 570 for nine with Michael Clarke top-scoring with 148 and Brad Haddin scoring 118. Ryan Harris scored an enterprising 55 not out at the end. Stuart Broad took three wickets.
