Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) Ground curator, Matt Page has said, in a tone of assurance, that the batsmen should not fear the expected cracks in the pitch during the upcoming third Ashes Test, in Perth.

With the mercury expected to soar to at least 37 degrees every day of the Test, the WACA pitch is almost certain to dry out and start cracking during play.

But Page is confident that the cracks are not going to have a huge bearing on the match’s outcome, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

He also added that the hot weather is going to bake the surface and aid bowlers, who are looking for some extra bounce.
