India allrounder Hardik Pandya was stretchered off the pitch at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on Wednesday during Match 5 of the Asia Cup 2018 between India and Pakistan.

Pandya, who was brought in as the first change bowler was in to his fifth over when he took a tumble on his follow through and fell awkwardly on his back. At first it looked like Pandya missed his footing, but the 24-year-old didn’t get up forcing the umpires to call for a stretcher.
Later, BCCI tweeted that Pandya has suffered an lower back injury, presumably lower back spasms and is able to stand at the moment and the medical team is assessing the allrounder.
