Australian openers Cameron White and Aaron Finch have started with clear intentions of finishing the match off in a hurry. Coming in to bat with a target of 131, White and Finch have got Australia off to a cracking start, amassing 48 runs off the first five overs itself.
White, in particular has done the bulk of the scoring, not out on 38 off just 20 balls [aided by eight boundaries]. He started off by cracking three fours in the first over off Stuart Broad.
England scored just 130 in the 1st innings, and the way Australia have started their innings, it doesn’t seem this match will last for long, unless England can get a few wickets in the next few overs.
