The Australian cricket team has slipped to the fourth position, its lowest in One-Day International (ODI) rankings since the ODI championship table was launched in 2002.

According to a report in the Indian Express, the fall is because Australia’s brilliant record of 30 wins and eight defeats from 40 ODIs in 2009-10 does not reflecting in the latest annual update.
Their arch rivals, England, meanwhile have moved to the numero uno spot in the 50-overs spot, leading South Africa by one-sixth of a rating point.
The champions of the 2011 World Cup, India are placed at the third position in the table. England tops the ODI table for the first time since the inception of rankings in 2002.
