Australia vs Pakistan: Gabba stadium to get a pool

Reportedly, the pool will be situated in such a place that the spectators will be able to watch the match as well as spend time by the pool.

Before the Commonwealth Bank Day-Night Test starts, Gabba Stadium is all set to get a pool installed to make the live match experience all the more interesting. Reportedly, the pool will be situated in such a place that the spectators will be able to watch the match as well as spend time by the pool. The ground is also set to get a beach-themed area called ‘Sandy Point’ where there will be food and drinks and a big screen to catch all the live action going on. This will be the first of its kind set up in Australia and will be inaugurated marking 85th anniversary of Test cricket being played at the venue. Talking about it, Ben Amarfio, Executive General Manager, Media, Communications, and Marketing, said to cricket.com.au, “Both the Pool Deck and Sandy Point will bring a real Queensland summer feel to the Test. And we hope that with the match being played during the school holidays and tickets available for a very affordable price, fans from around the state and around the country will get along to the match to enjoy these initiatives as well as world-class day-night Test action.”

Tickets for the Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODIs) will cost $30 for adults, $10 for children and $65 for families while fifty per cent of the total No. of tickets will be sold for less than $50 each.
