The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Pool A match between Australia and Scotland was stopped due to a sudden spell of rain at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Tuesday. Scotland reached a score of 130 for the loss of eight wickets after 25 overs, with Josh Davey and Michael Leask batting on scores of 26 and 23 respectively. Live Scorecard: Australia vs Scotland

The Scotland batting order was decimated by some disciplined bowling efforts by the pacers, especially comeback man Pat Cummins, who took three wickets for 42 runs. Mitchell Starc was the other wicket-taker for Australia, taking two wickets for 14 runs. The Scottish top and middle-order were in for a collapse, with Matt Machan and Callum Macleod being the only batsmen to offer any resistance whatsoever with knocks of 40 and 22 respectively. Not less than four batsmen were dismissed for a duck, including skipper Preston Mommsen and opener Kyle Coetzer. Losing their eighth wicket with 95 runs on board, Scotland were expected to fold in a couple of overs or so. The presence of Davey and Leask at the crease only delayed the inevitable however, as the pair added a quickfire 35 runs for the ninth wicket. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: SCHEDULE & MATCH DETAILS

Australia earlier won the toss and elected to bowl, with Cummins replacing Xavier Doherty as expected. Scotland, on the other hand, decided to field the same team which was part of the 148-run defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in their previous game. The likelihood of the match witnessing 50 overs per side was hampered by the constant presence of dark clouds over the Bellerive Oval. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Complete Coverage
