West Indies will hope to resume Day Five of the third Test against West Indies at 248 for 7 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), if rain manages to stay away. There are however very high chances of rain as a result of which the referees may decide to abandon the day and declare the match a draw. There however still remains some hope that we might get some play on the final day, but looking at the state of the match, a result is surely ruled out. Denesh Ramdin is currently holding fort for the visitors at the crease with 30 along with Kemar Roach who has just faced just one delivery and is yet to get off the mark. Opening batsman Kraig Brathwaite, scored an excellent 85. Darren Bravo got off to a good start, but could no convert as he was dismissed for 33. Carlos Brathwaite came in at No. 8 and blazed away to a 71-ball 69 and his 87-run stand with Ramdin was indeed a delight to watch. Brathwaite had scored a half-century on his debut at Hobart and has repeated his feat once again at Sydney. As far as the Australian bowlers are concerned, James Pattinson and Nathan Lyon have two wickets apiece. Josh Hazlewood and Steve O’Keefe have managed to chip in with a wicket each.
