Australia all-rounder Shane Watson said that his team will look to target England opener Ian Bell when their series gets underway at Lord’s on June 29.
“It’s no surprise he has performed the way he has in the first couple of games,” Watson said.
Bell scored a match-winning century after coming into the side following Kevin Pietersen’s shocking retirement from limited overs cricket.
“We saw how beautifully he batted during the Ashes back home in Australia, especially when he’s in good form,” Watson was quoted as saying to Cricket Australia’s website
“It’s great for England to have a good solid partnership up there with Ian and Alistair Cook,” he added.
Watson has asked his teammates to capitalize on the series in order to prepare for Ashes 2013.
“You’ve got to make the most of any series you play against England, especially with next year’s Ashes coming up,” he said.

“It’s a great time for the younger and less experienced guys to be able to experience what it is like to play here in England, but also it is an opportunity to make our mark here in England as well,” Watson concluded.
