It will be an interesting clash to watch out for when Australia women take on England women in the final of the ICC Women’s World T20 at Dhaka on Sunday.
Australia will be looking to seal a third World T20 title after they had won the previous two editions in West Indies and Sri Lanka.
The Meg Lanning led side had edged the West Indies in a close semi-final by eight runs whereas in contrast England breezed past South Africa by nine wickets thus capping a dominating performance before the all-important clash.
The key players for Australia would definitely be Lanning and Elyse Villani who has struck form at the opportune moment whereas for England the performance of Anya Shrubsole will hold the key to their success especially after her stand-out performance against South Africa.
Though there is nothing much to separate the two sides still the match may well be a battle between Australia’s sturdy batting and England’s prolific bowling attack and may well keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
Squads:
Australia: Elyse Villani, Jess Jonassen, Meg Lanning (c), Ellyse Perry, Alex Blackwell,Jess Cameron, Alyssa Healy (wk),Erin Osborne, Sarah Coyte, Rene Farrell, Julie Hunter
England: Sarah Taylor (wk), Charlotte Edwards (c), Heather Knight,Lydia Greenway,Natalie Sciver,Amy Jones,Tammy Beaumont, Jenny Gunn,Danielle Hazell,Anya Shrubsole,Rebecca Grundy
