Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Ali lashed out at Babar Azam for his poor performance against India in the Champions Trophy clash, calling him a “fraud. Babar was dismissed for 23 runs in 26 balls. He has been facing a rough time in international cricket.
Shoaib was furious at this defeat by India and talked about Babar being compared to Virat Kohli, stating Kohli has a “legacy” while Babar is a fraud. He took a dig at the Pakistan cricketer for taking a wrong person as his role model, as he has a slow batting approach.
“We always compare Babar Azam to Virat Kohli. Now tell me who is hero of Virat Kohli? Sachin Tendulkar and he has scored 100 centuries and Virat is chasing his legacy. Who is Babar Azam’s hero? Tuk tuk (he did not hint out any specific cricketer that he might be referring to)” Akhtar said on the show Game On Hai.
“You have picked the wrong heroes. Your thought process is wrong. You were a fraud from the beginning. I would not even wish to talk about the Pakistan cricket team. I am only doing this because I am getting paid,” he added.
