Heads are likely to roll after Bangladesh’s disastrous World Cup campaign which saw them crashing out of the league phase following a heavy defeat at the hands of South Africa in their concluding group game at Dhaka.

And the biggest casualty is likely to be Bangladesh team head coach Jamie Siddons. Siddons is current on a four-year contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board which will expire in June this year, the leading Bangladesh daily The Daily Star has reported.

The Australian has got his second extension and it is very unlikely that he would get a third one, the paper reported.

Not just the coach, even the selectors are also expected to feel the heat. The Rafiqul Alam-led selection panel is unlikely to get another extension following Bangladesh’s early World Cup exit.

The Tigers have less than a week to regroup before they get into preparation mode for the three match one-day international series against Australia starting in April.
