The women’s team of Bangladesh is scheduled to tour Pakistan on September 28 as they would be playing a two-match T20I and OSI series. This would also be the first representative team for Bangladesh to tour the troubled nation for a cricket ting series following the horrific terror attack on the Sri Lanka team in 2009. Nazmul Hasan, president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday made the announcement at his residence, claiming that Pakistan have confirmed to provide fool-proof VVIP security to the teams, resports espncricinfo. Bangladesh’s men team have been on a roll following three back to back home series win, and so would be on focus the women’s team to do it abroad. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh are all set to host Australia for two-Test series in October this year. After an excellent home season, this will be Bangladesh’s biggest opportunity to showcase their potential against a world-class team like Australia. First of these two Tests will be played at Chittagong from October 9 to 13. Dhaka will host the second Test from October 17 to 21. Australian pacers Mitchell Johnson and Josh Hazlewood are likely to miss this series as the selectors are mulling over giving them some rest ahead of a busy summer. If the duo is rested, it would open the door for Peter Siddle to continue his good work after bowling impressively in the final Ashes Test at The Oval last month. For Bangladesh, there is no injury concern at this point of time. They are expected to prepare spin-friendly pitches to expose the inexperienced Australian batsmen, who struggle on slow decks.
