Bangladesh set a target of 314 for Zimbabwe to win the 2nd Test after declaring on 248 for the loss of nine wickets at Khulna. Mahmudullah remained the highest scorer of the innings with a score of 71 followed by Mominul Haque and Shuvagata Hom who too score half-centuries and were dismissed for 54 and 50 respectively. Bangladesh began the day on 201 for the loss of five wickets, but lost two wickets early at the start of the day in the form of Mahmudullah and Taijul Islam. While Hom brought up his half-century in 102 deliveries, he was dismissed right after scoring it that led to the posible declaration from the Bangladesh skipper, Mushfiqur Rahim.
