Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hsan won the toss and opted to bat first in their World Cup Group A match against Ireland at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Bangladesh would be looking to redeem themselves after their mauling at the hands of India in their opening game.
